It's That Time of Year Again!
The cormorants have nested. Year after year they return to this precarious ledge to raise their babies. There are three, perhaps four eggs to keep warm. I'll try to follow her progress over the next few weeks.
We haven't walked this part of the path for awhile. It just got to be too crowded, but today there were hardly any people at all, so I got to see these birds, and the hawks in the Extras. Seeing two together is rare, and I have no idea if this is a pair, or a parent and child. I love that outstretched wing--makes me want to spread my arms out wide and catch some air.
I think I'm finally done with whatever I got into a couple weeks ago. Feeling like a normal person at last.
