Adventures
So much happened today, it's hard to know where to begin.
So I'll begin at the beginning. First up we had to go to Upper Sturt to collect some jam from a lovely lady who donates it to OGH. We'd never been there before, and I talked the Rower into coming with me, because next doors were excavating under their house to get it underpinned on account of the house appears to be sinking. That's a whole story on its own. The noise was deafening.
Anyway we escaped to the peace and quiet of the Adelaide Hills, and drove down this really long road to get to the place in question. Turns out that they have 27 acres - a huge block and they are collectors of all sorts of stuff including this lovely old truck, which the Rower kindly photographed for me.
Judith is a jam maker extraordinaire, cupboards full of the stuff, and we spent a very pleasant hour chatting and deciding what flavours to take.
Then we went into the Central Market and had a bite to eat. Then we went to the uniform makers to collect OGH uniforms, and then we came home to find the road blocked off because there was a house on fire on the main road. Luckily we were allowed through, so were able to get home.
So, instead of being out for about 90 minutes it took at least three hours. But we had a great time.
