Marking another unhappy milestone

Another visit to the osteopath this morning and after lunch I nipped over to the farm shop via the back road where there are a few photo opportunities now the oil seed rape is out.  Had I been driving faster I could have had a juvenile pheasant or two.

Sadly another two of our avenue's chestnut trees have had to be felled but there is talk amongst the residents to replace them with sweet chestnuts which are not susceptible to canker.
