Shenzhen: Our Shipping... At Last

10am this morning: 6 months and 1 day after the shipping left our doorstep in Taipei it arrives in Shenzhen. A distance of 790 kilometres (491 miles). Speed equals distance over time, so...?
Next time we should leave it all to charity or take it onboard! And to think we arrived in China with two packs, a laptop and a viola.

The issue was bureaucracy. Every country has red-tape, it's just that China's been doing it for 5,000 years and have it down to a fine art.

Also, my brother-in-law arrived yesterday for a week, so at least he got a 'show' from the couch. It was certainly a morning to remember. I've never been so happy to be surrounded by boxes.
