The Archer
The Archer is a bronze life - size statue on the Esk riverbank. It represents 3 important aspects of Musselburgh heritage - the Roman invasion in AD850, the battle of Pinkie Cleugh in 1547 and the sporting trophy the Musselburgh Silver Arrow which dates back to1603. The figure points its invisible bow across the river inviting searches for the trail of 15 arrows in a variety of locations around the town.
