bits of Scotland
Last year I was obliged to scour the beaches of Scotland for stones that would polish well, on the grounds that it was the most important thing in the whole world to an eleven-year-old.Now I have a tumbler, plentiful supplies of grit and polish, and a twelve-year-old who couldn't be less interested. Also, a lot of little shiny bits of whatever Scotland is made of.
