Two firsts

For the first time since February 2020, today I went for a walk with the Superlative Walks team, sadly minus Bruce who is recovering from a small operation. Not only did we have a splendid walk through the Cheshire countryside around Beeston Castle, avoiding getting lost and being trampled by cattle, we also achieved another first since 14 months ago - lunch at a pub. Most enjoyable.

Sadly, it won't be classified as a "Superlative Walk", as such: the only possible superlative on the route was a claim that Beeston Castle, built in the 1220s on a sandstone outcrop, has "one of the deepest castle wells in England." Sorry, "one of" is not good enough.
