Great Crested Grebe and eggs

Such a delight to come across this Great Crested Grebe this afternoon, especially when there was a brief glimpse of the eggs too. Made the most of a trip to Lake Geneva to collect my son to have a short walk in the rain. So glad I did. The nest itself was precariously attached to a buoy and didn’t seem very stable. The partner was constantly swimming around the nest bringing more materials whilst a Carrion Crow kept an eye on the proceedings. It’s not an ideal spot so fingers crossed that all goes well.
