‘Patterns in a slice of time...’

My wife had the afternoon off today and we decided to take the advantage of the sun to visit the Edinburgh Botanic Garden.  It’s practically like being in beautiful countryside and is just half a mile from our house. 

They limit the numbers who can go into the garden at the moment, and that means it’s beautifully quiet which just adds to its charm! 

The little waterfall in the rockery stream was glistening in the sun and today’s main photo shows the patterns in a small section of that stream.

Just as we were leaving to walk back home for a cup of tea and a bun, we spotted a robin having a snack too! (Extra photo)
