Smooth as a bowling green...

I'm pretty sure that the bowling green in the park on the way to work didn't get used at all last year because of covid. The grass was looking particularly good through the winter and early spring but in the absence of any rain now for many weeks it looks to me as though a few brown patches are appearing. Still, it's a bank holiday weekend coming up so that should ensure a prolonged and heavy downpour!
