On my whirlwind weekend visit to family I left rainy Fife and travelled to the rainier West Coast. The train to Edinburgh was entertaining as I was stuck in the train vestibule with 13 Scottish rugby supporters. Thankfully that was before the match and their unfortunate loss to Wales!! In Glasgow I met up with an old friend for coffee. I think we last saw each other in 1989ish so we had some catching up to do!! Some friends though you can pick up where you left off and this is how it was. It was so so good to catch up on those intervening years, on mutual friends and interests and laugh together once again.

These crocuses are flowering in my dad's beautiful garden. A sight to gladden the heart on a cold, wet day & a birthday wish for my old friend.
