Rock Plopping!

Last day in the Lakes.
Checked out of our cottage at 10 and went to Ambleside to buy new boots. Mr W was well impressed with his Meindl boots he bought a few days ago that he said I should try them. I left my year old split Karrimores there!!!
We tested out the boots on a trip up to the Stock Ghyll Waterfall in Ambleside. Apart from being a bit hard on my "balls" - they are very sturdy and comfortable.
I enjoyed dropping rocks into the water and hearing the plop!
Before we left we stopped for lunch at Ambleside Manor that turned out to be a Vegetarian Hotel. A very fitting end to a very lovely week in the Lakes.
