All alone

When I visited the loch on 12th February and again a few days ago, I noticed that there were lots of geese and some ducks, but only one swan.  And it is the same today.  In February the loch was frozen and there was a swan on the ice, but I think It had actually died and and it was frozen in place.  I'm not sure where this one will find a mate/friend.
