What's Hanging?

The weather has been ugly all day but at least it cleared up so we could do our nightly walk/ride. We noticed these things hanging from the pine tree, Yes we were being a little naughty laughing at them , I even got closer so I could see if they indeed are part of the tree and they are. Don't have a clue what they are but I know that we passed alot more Pine trees and they didn't have anything hanging.

Anyone know what they are?
