New toy for the camera

Hired this lens a week ago to test it. Tiny size for a 300mm but it was sharp and rendered colours very well and its lightness made it a pleasure to use.

So I bit the bullet and purchased a new one which allows me to claim the rental cost back which is an added benefit.

It does have its foibles in so much as some backgrounds can be rendered distractingly busy, due to its use of fresnel lens technology which is why it is so diminutive and light. However, this can be rectified somewhat in post production.

Testing this Saturday at our local zoo with the girls.
