Patchwork Farm
Patchwork Farm is a local farm owned by friends that has a farmers stand every day of the week now (except Sunday). I have been up there to get strawberries (picked fresh that day) several times and also milk..raw milk with cream on the top that is from a local dairy. The strawberries are so good I could eat the whole gallon at one time!
Today they sponsored a Spring Fling with vendors, music and food. My friend Melody and I went to get some strawberries (and milk for me). We ended up staying to look at what the vendors were selling, had some lunch and homemade ice cream! The ice cream was the best ice cream I have ever eaten! The vendors ranged from homemade soaps, embroidered baby clothes, pottery, woodworked items, framed photos that looked vintage (I loved this!), some jewelry and then the handmade cigar box guitars. These were very unique and the person that made them was playing one and it sounded really good. The music was provided by local young people who were very talented. We got to see some baby goats and a calf, a mini donkey and some chickens. We also saw several people we knew and there were hugs involved!
A wonderful day out! The weather was perfect for being outside.
Life is good!
