Cocoa Bean and Family

A record 8 hours of sleep, a walk, visit with a friend outside (always very interesting topics) hair cut (too short but it will grow .. and I was sent home with a big bag of her garden greens!) ) and then a visit to one of our families… H had a part for our (now NIk’s) old Volvo so he might be able to open the windows…(It worked! eureka!)      Hadn’t talked to these humans for awhile in person…they all have one vaccine but not two.  NIk has started playing basketball at his high school  -a short little season and not enuf time to practice but he’s pleased with the team.  He goes to school 2 days a week for 4 hours each and says they’ve finished all the work so it’s just nice to be with the kids.   (?)  apparently there is to be a real graduation outside.  We’re pleased because we were able to get the facebook  (NEVER use it but haven’t deleted it altogether)  stream of the game on our big tv, but of course I’d rather be there in the stands with my camera.   H went to one game…but they only get 2 tickets per player and the gym is weirdly empty.   Our governor is rumored to maybe be putting this county back a lockdown notch to phase two because of this 4th covid serge happening now..   Will that mean no in person school that just started??? surely they can’t  quit this little bit of basketball!  …. We shall see next week.
NIK’s college for fall is requiring all the kids to be vaccinated…. I suspect all the colleges will do that.   That will be a dilemma for the anti vaxers.   But I"m expecting airlines and cruise ships and trip companies to do the same.   My haircutter thinks she is not going to work on anyone without a vaccination card.  I can't blame her really.

So we genjoyed playing with Bean ..NIk took Oskar to Bball practice ..we can stream his games too!, picked up a burrito and we had a nice sit in the yard with Nik and Eric.   There is a “Bad Bean Shot” (spray bottle of water) that this dog knows very well…she will instantly crouch or go hide at even the mention of it.  Nanna sprayed one experimental shot when Bean was taking Nik’s food, …she went and sat behind, then over in the garden with nose down and then went to get comforted by Grampa with tail between her legs.   So funny.   Sorry—just had to add some in the extra.  It’s an attempt to train her…..
