The Iron

Scunthorpe United FC are known as "The Iron," commemorating the town's heritage as a steel manufacturing centre. The football club's bar is, of course, known as the "Iron Bar."

Former Scunthorpe player, Leon Clarke, scored Coventry's winner in a 2-1 away victory today. You can see him here preparing to head the ball into the back of the net. Sadly, this one was disallowed for offside. In the excitement, I failed totally to capture the actual winning goal some minutes later.

But I did manage to get this shot of Coventry's latest manager (our fifth this season!) Steven "Elvis" Pressley, celebrating the win in his first game in charge.
