Unexpected Hassle

After reading the papers, planting out a couple of trailing geraniums and thinning the remaining broccoli I headed over to the yard with the intention of getting the outboard on the inflatable and having a run about the harbour. Regular readers may recall my great success in getting it running some weeks back. Would the thing start? Would it? It would not. PT came and pulled the cord awhile without success. Then Doug. And Pete. Oh, and not forgetting Reg. Then Chris showed us how it was done. Stand back! It still didn’t start. Then the Commodore just had to have a crack. The outboard mechanic man may have to be summoned. 
Home, feeling slightly deflated to find the SK entertaining her namesake. But no L, who has more than outboard problems to worry about I fear.
Later, we squeezed in a viewing of the Guardian’s Colette, which won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short. Absolutely wonderful. Oh, and more than a bit weepy. Available for free on YouTube, and well worth half an hour of anyone’s time.
