Down to the River

We walked down through Wembury woods  today to the River Yealm. It always reminds me a bit of the tidal river estuaries in Northern Brittany. Interestingly, we met a lady in the woods with two dogs, whose breed we could not identify. She told us they were basset fauve de Bretagne. These dogs are short-legged hunting hounds that originated in Brittany.
