Diary of an Edinburgher

Posh nibbles

As anticipated last night, the nibbles were pretty special.  And it was quite a late night, though Archie was still obsessing about his peanut butter stuffed bone when we came back, but I’m sure he would have snoozed as he must have been tired. He went out for a run about in the Meadows this morning with Becky and Daniel and they were going off to sit in a sunny beer garden for the afternoon - something they haven’t been able to do for a very long time.

As I’ve done nothing today except some sewing (yes, I bought the wrong leg length of my new M&S jeans in my haste the other day) the nibbles are IT.

They are all from Good Housekeeping website. (Extra)

Lobster and caviar in a lettuce basket.
Crabmeat in tiny pancakes.
Mango and shrimp skewers.
Pea, mint and goats’ cheese on blinis.

All washed down with some delicious rosé. Won’t mention how many bottles...

We have just watched Grand Designs Australia this afternoon. We always enjoy them - the houses are so different from the UK version.

Line of Duty final tonight - thank goodness.

BIG week coming up - Elections!
