The Five sisters of Kintail

Or Lynda's  view as we know it.

Our last day in  the Glen as tomorrow  we head home. Mostly sunny and not so much walking. Only 6.4 miles for me today.  As for Star you could easily  double that.
I have been reading a new training book called Total recall. I haven't  been sleeping so I learn a lot at night and Star has benefitted.  There may be some hope that she might become a Guide dog. I hope the Training centre can work wonders  as I think I'm as far as I can go with her.  I only need her toileting sorted. Down from 5 to 4 times a day now, but it shouldn't  be more than 3.

We had met Ruth who moved to the village after years of holidaying here as did we. She informed  us that the Inn was still doing takeaway  fish and chips, as the sit in dining was greatly  curtailed  with the restrictions Covid still forces. We waited for it and finally scoffed it in the van. It was roasting hot even after we had to return to the  War memorial  where we were parked. Mind you I think hunger and the aroma quickened our pace. Just as well as we need to work off the calories even more after that.

Sitting in the van now as the rain has started. A very much needed drink for  the parched vegetation. Earlier we put out a Scandinavian log that some idiots had left burning unattended,  along the beach at the bottom edge of the forrestry.  Luckily they even told us they'd  left it burning as we happened to walk past them past the Estate lodge. There is no accounting  for some people's  intelligence  or lack of. The whole region is still on high alert being tinder dry and no fires are allowed.
