Local asparagus

I delight every time I see this sign at the village shop.  £2 a bunch!  I will be eating it three times a day until it finishes in June.  I like that you don’t have to treat it as special at this price so can make soup, tarts, salads etc with it.  

Friends down from London for lunch (Jamie and Caroline with daughter Isy) and we ate in the Goat Shed which is our summer house. It was quite cold! But a walk warmed us up.  Cannot wait for some summer warmth - everything is so behind stunted by cold and dry weather.
