Crochet - hooked

I've finally finished the Persian tiles/Eastern Jewels blanket pattern by Jane Crowfoot.  It's been a challenge and is certainly not perfect and is now on a bed upstairs with the door firmly shut.

Crocheted blankets really are wildly impractical in our house with two cats who purr whilst they knead and pull the threads out of everything they sit on.  

Nevertheless I've spent the afternoon choosing wool and selecting a new (simpler) blanket project.   You could say I'm hooked.
