Pheasant's Eye

aka Narcissus poeticus, usually the last narcissus to flower, I picked this as an almost ready bud yesterday.   It is my favourite narcissus, not only because of childhood memories of it in our London garden, it's one of the few species that I have seen in the wild, high above the ski resort of Cerler in the Pyrenees.   Throw in a lovely scent - what's not to like?

Todays weather was something not to like!   especially when Meg needed out in the height of the storm.    A change of some clothes was needed after that.    The worst has blown over now and the seagulls are back, surveying the damage and I did get lots of important admin done this afternoon.

Thanks to all who left hearts and stars for yesterday's quiet offering.
