Carrifran fank

We drove over 1hr 40m to visit the wild wood at Carrifran, planted with native trees over the last 20 years.  It is one of my favourite places in the borders.  As we left Edinburgh it was 8deg C and starting to rain.  It was down to 2deg and pouring when we go there.  We walked some of the way up the glen but it was good for neither man nor beast and so we retired to heat soup by the car and drive back, a little bit damp.
