Lugano

The city of Lugano lies in Ticino (the southernmost Canton in Switzerland) and the border with Italy cuts across Lake Lugano. It is Italian speaking with food, architecture and style all showing a strong Italian influence. However it is also influenced by the industrious north of Switzerland - it very clean, everything works and runs on time. It is the best of both worlds!
