Dreich Monday..........

A dry start,but by lunch time it was tipping it down and cold too. A cow calved during the night,was going to bring them in but it took off and mum wasn't the friendliest,so it will need to take its chances.
The sprayer man here to put the second dose of liquid N onto the winter barley down the road. It will be well washed in by tonight.
An afternoon spent on the phone filling in the annual IACS form which lists all the land you farm ,areas and crops in each field.
Usually I go to the SAC offices to get the college advisor to help fill it in online ,but last year and this we have had to do it over the phone . 1200 hectares and 100 fields later we were finished,but after 2 hrs on the phone my right lug was rather hot !
These ewes and lambs were all hiding in the corner of the field to try and get a bit of shelter this afternoon. It was more like November than May !
