the boat race......

Awoke this morning to a misty day.... we found ourselves amid a boat race... having anchored mid river last night..... it was really exciting to be almost on the start line...
This is the very start of the race... all the boats had been jostling to ensure they were at the right place at the right time... then they all dropped they coloured sails.( i know what they are called but i cannot spell it so coloured sails will have to do!!!) I took this image as they were racing towards us.....
such fun!!!
