Daddy Weekend
Wife is off for the weekend with friends. A proper Mothers day break. So we saw her off to the door to her train and the the fun began.
After swimming the cafe was closed so it was straight to park with the already packed pastries then off to another cafe for lunch. With a quarter of our sole parenting ticked off we headed out to the local liquidating shop on the hunt for a movie. They had one copy left so we had to hunt through the hundreds of boxes for it. However we didn't find it so just bought the disc without the box along with a childrens choice each and a couple of others.
As the little ones had coped with all the disc box hunting with only mild mania and slight but, understandable, misbehaviour motivated by boredom we headed to their choice of cafe for cake.
The cafe was full so when Boy knocked his drink down his front and needed changing it took a number of brave special moves to see us dry for our journey home where on arrival we watched Boys choice "Alvin & the Chipmunks - Chipwrecked" followed by a brief glipse of Girls choice "Dora the Explorer - Fairytale Adventure" which somehow and amazingly scared them both to the point of wanting it off as dinner was served, and so avoiding the usual end of telly box arguements.
A good dinner, followed by baths and a quick teddy slide competition, followed by stories and moans till sleep at a decent time.
Now its disc with no box movie time.
