Is it Dead?

We thought we'd have a job following this Footpath finger post! (Why do they all just say just 'Footpath' now? In the Good Old Days the signs used to proclaim "Public Footpath") Anyway, it's a sign of the times: time and time again we come across footpath signs that have either been knocked over or rotted at the base (as may have happened in this case). It should not impose a great financial barrier to the County Council but doubtless they will plead that they don't have the money.
