Jocularity in the Barnyard
Shelby the sheep was new to the farm. Lyndon the llama thought he should welcome her...perhaps with some jokes.
LYNDON: "Let me start with a joke about a farmer and his sheep. Stop me if you've HERD it. HA HA HA!
SHELBY: "That's your start? I can't hardly wait for the finish."
LYNDON: "Last year, a group of young sheep surrounded me. IT WAS A LAMBUSH!"
SHELBY: (Sigh.)
LYNDON: "Why did the policeman give the sheep a ticket? Because she made an illegal ewe turn. HA HA HA!"
SHELBY: "Whoa. YOU ought to be arrested for that one!"
LYNDON: "Where do sheep go to shop? Woolmart! You get it? WOOLmart!"
SHELBY: "Is that all you have in store for me? You get it? In STORE?"
LYNDON: "C'mon, who's telling the jokes here?"
SHELBY: "Not you."
LYNDON: "Okay Miss Newcomer, here's the last one."
SHELBY: "You promise?"
LYNDON: "Where does a sheep go to get a haircut? To the BAA-BAA shop! WOO HOO HOO!"
SHELBY: "Don't you think it's funny that I would rather GET a haircut...than listen to any more of your jokes? Those were lame Lyndon."
And so it went in the barnyard.
P.S. A happy birthday wish to my daughter Karen. May 4th, 1981. 40 years old. Where, o where has the time gone? Love you KK.
