Enjoyed a good walk...

to Redcastle and along the Firth. Redcastle has been on this site since the twelfth century.
The woods provided shelter from the occasional hail showers and were full of bird song. even heard the first Chiffchaff! Also, heard a few Yellow Buntings. On the mud of the bay Shelduck were feeding and the Osprey that nests nearby put in an appearance.
The Beeches were just coming out and underfoot there were Wild Hyacinths (Bluebells) ! Violets, Stitchwort, Wood Sorrel, Wood Anemones and Celandine. Their perfume was in the air. Geans and Gorse were in flower. All lovely!
