Safe Place

It's been another day of moving related jobs.  I've made a space on the patio for Shep the Rabbit's hutch which will arrive tomorrow, and cleared out the shed of things which can go elsewhere or to the dump.  Jenny has been backwards and forwards to us; the charity shop and the dump.  Pete was in charge of packing the kitchen and finding a bigger storage space.  Tony drove over to collect the single bed to go back in the spare room and then took the load to the dump.  I delivered a couple of recycled items to neighbours who had requested them and then, when the bed was put back together, sorted the bedding and moved the rucksacks full of clothes in there so that they will hopefully be able to sleep in the larger of the two bedrooms tonight.

In the midst of all this activity, Jenny brought two very cowed cats over.  Odo immediately disappeared behind the guitar bags and hasn't yet re-emerged.  Strid has bravely explored a little but now taken up residence on the fourth step up.  She is so well camouflaged that I have made a warning sign for the door at the top of the stairs in case she stays there overnight.

Jen cycled over on her bike and walked back to get some air and space from the angst of moving.  Hopefully they will return in a couple of hours, Pete on his bike.  The removal team arrive tomorrow and I have my second vaccination.  Good job the heavy lifting is done!
