The Tom’s are back from their hols...
...at Gina’s (next door but one) and my how they’ve grown - they all have flowers on them! Gina has looked after them well :-) They are a short bushy variety. I said she can have one as a thank you.
All we need now is the greenhouse to be erected...hmmm...the ongoing greenhouse saga! We drove to Preston this morning to collect the one I found on FB Marketplace. It was in a long thin box. I asked the lady about the window panels to which she replied there weren’t any. She had bought it new and had only said some cross bars were missing. We took it anyway thinking it would be easy to get the polycarbonate sheets. Not as easy as you would think and not that cheap either. Glass would have been a better option but the frames are made for polycarbonate thickness apparently.
I hope it won’t be too difficult to put together.
This atrocious, cold, wet weather is getting me down, I don’t normally let it bother me but it seems relentless and is stopping me doing the garden. I made the mistake of looking at the 14 day forecast! It seems unfair after a year of lockdowns. We need sunshine for heaven’s sake!
I feel like hibernating :-/
I think I need to use this indoor time for some decluttering therapy, starting with my wardrobe and some general cleaning. Hopefully the charity shops will be accepting clothes and some household goods. It usually makes me feel better. That will clear my head and make way for some much needed creativity :-D
I miss the grandchildren already and think it won’t be long before I hop on a train up to Scotland!
In 3 weeks Frank’s son and family - Sam, Siobhan and Isla 9 and Arón 7 will be coming over from Co Antrim NI. I can’t wait to see them - it’s been 18 months since we last saw them. The kids will have grown so much. Sam said Isla has been quite emotional about not being able to see her grandparents. They’re very huggy kids.
Well, it’s tea time now and I’m very hungry.
More tomorrow
:-) X
