Day 4: Ballantrae

A lovely day in contrast to yesterday. We walked down to the foreshore and along the raised beach to the mouth of the river before lunch. Goat Fell is stunning, covered in snow.
My parents came after lunch and we sat out in the sun and later explored up the river path.
There is an Aga in the kitchen as the primary cooking device and we are loving it. It really does make everything, even toast, taste better. And the slow pace of cooking is perfect for holiday pace.
