Dig and Divide, Hanover Garden Club Fun

Our town has two garden clubs, we meet at different times and months. Both clubs work hard beautifying the town with hard work and shared knowledge. We don't often collaborate, but we will work together this year for the biggest fund raiser for each club, a combined plant sale on May 22nd. The pandemic cancelled both sales last spring. We use the money for program speakers at our monthly meetings and town beautification with planted traffic islands.

Today a small group of our board members met at a wonderful garden owned by a woman who belongs to both clubs. I came late after a chiropractic appointment(no digging for me) and labeled a few plants and snapped a few photos of the gang and the tulips blooming around us. As you can see, it was wet and chilly, but we were maskless thanks to all being fully vaccinated, what a gift. 

I needed some cheering. Merry's follow up blood test results were not good and the vet wants us to stop the medicine we were using for her itchy skin situation. This was my suspicion for sometime, but she needs the medicine. She's one of the 2% of cats  that it causes side effects in(of course). We don't know the next steps or much else, but I have been teary all day. Merry on the other hand is oblivious and looks her cinnamon roll self except for that dreadful haircut and a little weight loss. We trust our vet, so we shall see what happens next. 

We were at a late Town Meeting last night, it adjourned after 11 with only 19 out of 34 articles voted on. It was held, socially distanced, in the high school auditorium and gym. We had terribly uncomfortable folding chairs in the gym and a garbled sound system that delayed the start of the meeting by and hour for the fix. Tonight it resumes again at 7. No comments last night and none tonight I think as well, sorry.
