Walter Scott Monument

It was chucking it down today and I thought no 2 son would get soaked so I arranged to pick him up from Waverley Station after work. Imagine my surprise when my arrival in Edinburgh coincided with bright sunshine! Nice to have him back albeit briefly. He’s off to Manchester for good in a few weeks’ time.
Book Group tonight. We were discussing That They May Face the Rising Sun by John McGahern. I enjoyed it.
