Wills amid the catkins

Wills surveys the devastating effect of the high wind on the catkins ripped from the Silver Birch.  It's going to take quite a bit of raking, front and back, once the wind has dropped.

Apparently, the word catkin is a loanword from the Dutch katteken, meaning "kitten", on account of the resemblance to a kitten's tail.  Looks like Wills still has a kitten's tail!

Not a lot of people know that!
