Inbetween Showers

Rain came and went and threatened some more. I ventured out while I had the chance only to find myself wondering what to shoot and feeling hurried knowing more rain was highly likely.

Even as I took this frame I could feel the rush of pressure as the wind picked up and sure enough a few drops soon turned into a cloudburst.

The file was very blue when I opened it and I was surprised by how much of a temperature adjustment was required to bring it close to neutral. I toned down the upper portion of the sky to keep the light in the centre.

It's the first significant rainfall this year.
