Fresh Fish For Dinner

I was delighted to see the osprey back and he put on quite a show choosing his catfish for dinner.  

While he was busy fishing, there was an aerial show going on with two crows harassing a hawk and making quite a fuss. (See Extra)  

The goslings were on the water with mom and dad as well but I wasn't quite fast enough to get a shot before they were out of view.  There's a lot more than two of them now.   At least 10 with two moms teaching them how to navigate.  I don't know if either the hawk or the osprey would go after the babies.  Maybe the crows were helping to deter the hawk. I think the osprey prefers fish but I always worry until the babies get old enough to lose their appeal as dinner.
