Craignant countryside
This morning the birdwatching group went to Craignant for a 2 mile birdwatching walk. As it's up in hill country with lots of trees it was amazing that we saw very few birds. Perhaps the rain meant that they were sheltering although they didn't reappear when the sun peeped through.
It's a lovely hilly area with Offa's Dyke going through. If you look carefully you can see a lovely derelict cottage down in the valley which would make a beautiful home for someone if renovated.
Even if we didn't see many birds it was great getting together with the group and we enjoyed chatting and looking at all the wild flowers in the lanes.
