The burn

This tiny little babbling burn has crocodiles, sharks and sea monsters residing in it. According to all the horses. 

They either flat refuse to go through or stag leap it to avoid all those snapping Jaws of death. 

There is an easy way to walk around it so it's not an issue... but last week I had Red walking in hand back and forth through it. And nothing ate him. So today I climbed aboard and we headed that way. He was super and we walked through it several times from both directions. Very chuffed with him.

Later, lunch in Stromness before returning home to walk the dogs. Talisker has a freebie dog activity monitor attached to his collar which was attached this morning... When I checked his data, it tells me he spent two five minute spells of 'pottering'. This is such an appropriate word for what he does.

Back to the horses and a quick ride out on Jeepers which was very exciting. He was fresh as anything and twitching to buck and rear. Thankfully he kept most of his hooves in check and we survived the ride with just a few hundred spooks and near explosions.

When I was finishing up at the field, Gorgeous came by after work and helped me finish up.
