Ackhurst Lodge and Astley Hall Walled Garden

I took the lady  in Chorley to another appointment today. Afterwards I went for a walk round Astley park for a nice change. I loved the walled garden see extra and followed the Astley trail. I did get lost and came out of the grounds at Ackhurst Lodge. It is derelict and often floods. read about it hereI ended up walking along the main road back to my car. 
It has  been lovely and sunny but still rather cold.
