Is a cuckoo flower!

I have a somewhat grotty plastic patio pot that was outside my old office and is now outside the hut, it's perhaps 1ft by 1ft by 1ft. Every year I think I really should move the contents to something nicer... and then I don't.

For most of the year it makes a mass explosion of apple mint which gets used in salads and cocktails.
But.
A couple of years ago, early in the spring, a wild foxglove appeared. Lovely.
Last year a early purple orchid appeared. Fabulous.
And now this year a cuckoo flower has emerged, Ace.

The rest of the day involved a lot of Admin, the gym, getting snowed on (the high hills are very white) and some stunning blue sky.
