Snags were overcome.
Well, the new machine arrived and the old one went as planned. So far so good; thankyou John Lewis. Our friend and handyman came to plumb it in.... and we quickly hit problems with fragile old fittings and pipe work that was incompatible. He fitted the kitchen a while ago and is always great when challenged. Bottom line is the sink pipe work was all disconnected, cleaned (filthy job) and re-engineered. He also fitted a new isolation valve for the outside as it was in amongst all the pipe work. Great results. Indebted; not for first time.
The Bosch manual is complicated and this evening it feels a bit more like spaceship than washing machine; touchscreen technology and options etc. Like many I’ve reverted to YouTube. But I know we’ll manage.
Our younger son came after work. He forked (to aerate) a lot of the grass that we’re working on. A snow shower nearly chased him, but he stayed and did more. It cost us a pizza!
A local nursery dropped off our 2021 bedding plant which we ordered online on Sunday. They were excellent last year during covid, and are a local business - so you know where the money goes.
Tesco home delivery came and went. Good, as aye.
Lots of discussion in the family re tomorrow’s Election for Scotland’s Parliament. We’re well versed in the politics of Scotland, in previous and future policies, and covid management and recovery. We keep an eye on what’s topical. We usually keep up to date with the Polls; it’ll be interesting to see how accurate they are come the weekend. Democracy is incredibly important.
