Amaryllises!

These spectacular, flamboyant amaryllises are growing in pots, in my back garden!
They have spent their entire growing season outside in the garden, with a little bit of shelter under the fig tree, during the winter.
These bright scarlet flowers bloom in May....
Last year I lost a lot of the flowers due to a major attack by hungry snails!!....
but I was more prepared this year!.....
