Moorhen sheltering in amongst the reeds of the lower lochan at Inverness Campus... during a near horizontal snow shower at lunchtime. Very cold weather continues.

An extra, through some railings and reeds. Don't know if it was because of the same cold weather, or the close proximity to expected hatching day, but the male Mute Swan joined the female on the nest today - something I hadn't observed before.
