Scruffy scent.
This rhododendron is quite a scruffy specimen, not surprising really, it was growing in weedy chaos until recently but now it's flowering and the scent is charmingly sweet.
A day of a low and a high. Low point was watching the top of a Holly tree I'd just cut out hit the grass like a javelin, then pivot on its tip and fall back onto a glass topped garden table I wish I'd moved. The Holly won that encounter and now I need to replace the table.
The high was seeing the youngest fawn I've ever seen and it's mum in the paddock of my customer. The fawn can only have been hours old, it was still not in control of it's legs, what a sight.
After work RF and I feasted on rib eye steak and Cornish new potatoes, yum!
