Dipper on the River Bovey

Between Drakeford and Hisley Bridge. Not a perfect capture but good to see this lovely bird of character. We were birding today at Yarner Wood, Dartmoor. Lucky to see a goshawk, never seen before, pointed out and identified by a very knowledgeable man in a camouflage jacket and hat, who also showed us the home of the lesser spotted woodpecker. Another first for me. Wonderful when you receive help and advice from others, only too willing to help. There are some great bird photos on blipfoto. This one can’t compete but I am quite pleased with it.
